BG Universal Cooling System Sealer is composed of refined organic fibers, corrosion inhibitors, a buffering agent and anti-foaming ingredients.
Fibers in BG Universal Cooling System Sealer are from six to ten times smaller than the passages found in the radiator or heater core. This precludes clogging, even if the passages are reduced to half their size through an accumulation of corrosion and scale.
The average cooling system leak has a high velocity of coolant escaping relative to the size of the hole. This fluid motion carries the suspended sealer particles to the rupture. As the particles are carried through the hole, they have a tendency to stick and build up. This buildup continues until the hole is completely plugged. Then the sealer fibers form a permanent type of patch.
BG Universal Cooling System Sealer is compatible with all engine coolants and will not harm the cooling system components nor will it cause blockage of coolant flow.
USAGE:
Shake bottle vigorously before use.
For preventive maintenance, add one bottle of BG Universal Cooling System Sealer to the cooling system. Do not over-treat. Run engine to operating temperature for 10 minutes.
To stop an existing leak, add one 12 ounce (355 mL) bottle of BG Universal Cooling System Sealer to the cooling system. Run the engine 10 minutes. Make sure heater valve is open. Replace pressure cap after rinsing radiator cap seat with clean water to assure a proper seal. The leak should begin to slow immediately. Following a pressure buildup, complete stoppage should occur.
Add BG Universal Cooling System Sealer to the cooling system at a ratio of one 12 ounce (355 mL) bottle per 10-20 quarts (9-19 Liters) of coolant. Or one 8 ounce (237 mL) bottle per 8 quarts (8 Liters) of coolant. For larger radiators, use proportionately larger amounts. For smaller systems, use less. It is recommended for use in automobiles and all types of cooling systems not using coolant filtration equipment. Compatible with all cooling system components, including aluminum and plastic.
